“Using Accent Colors” by Gabriel Haag

Using accent colors can be a great way to change or add to your space depending on your desired outcome.
Whether it be bright and bold, clean and fresh, or elegant and moody accent colors can really add the pop/wow factor a space needs.

Accent colors are meant to highlight the space, so they are typically in only a few key pieces. Some possibilities might be a single wall, chairs, accessories, or throw pillows and blankets.

The accent color can be easily altered to complement the design, changing with the seasons or even just a refresh. They can also be used to make a bold impact by adding larger or more substantial pieces of that color.

When selecting accent colors try pulling from inspiration in the room or home to tie in throughout the entire space to creating a cohesive flow.

Depending on the colors selected it can really make different pieces stand out. Adding a second color helps enhance the design in that space, so this could vary room to room.
When choosing where to place the accent color items try to balance the color throughout the space or you can use it to create desired zones. Accent colors are meant to be fun and make the space uniquely yours!
