RETAINED FEES: Fifty percent (50%) of the selling price of each item shall be retained by The Cozy Home. A buyer’s fee will be added to each item as an administrative fee for time spent pricing, displaying, and selling.   

CONSIGNMENT PAYMENTS: Checks are printed on the 10th of every month for items sold in the previous month (e.g. items sold in the month of March will be paid out on April 10th). Consignors pick up their checks in the store on or after the 10th. Checks are not mailed.  Checks are not printed for any value under $20 total. A balance less than $20 remain in your account until it is used on a purchase or until enough items sell to bring the balance above $20.  Any consignor payout not picked up after 6 months will be deemed an expense reimbursement back to The Cozy Home, LLC for rent, utilities and any other expense for the operation of the business.   

LIABILITY: We will do our best to safeguard your items; however, we cannot assume any liability for the damage to, loss of, or destruction of any item consigned. 

AFTER 90 DAYS: You have 30 days (after items have been in the store for 90 days) to pick up those items you wish to take back. At the end of this period (120 days) your item(s) will be donated to a charitable thrift organization. Please call ahead (608-630-8890) if you have items you plan on picking up so you don’t have to wait while we locate your items in the store. 

DELIVERY & PICKUP OF MERCHANDISE: It is the Consignor’s responsibility to deliver and pick up their merchandise.  If you are unable to do this we do offer a Delivery & Pickup Service for a fee. Remove to shorten contract?

EARLY PICK UP PENALTY: You may pick up your items before the consignment term ends; however, there will be a 50% early pickup fee charged based on the original sales price of the item(s). Once you have decided to cancel your contract, you have one day to arrange for pickup. Items will remain on the floor, available for sale, until you have arrived to pick them up.  

ALTERNATE LISTINGS: If at any point it is determined that the items you’ve brought in on consignment are still available for sale via an alternate online sales tool (ex Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist etc) The Cozy Home is allowed to sell your item(s) for the price indicated online.

CLOSING ACCOUNT: There will be a $20 fee to reopen any closed account.
